Summer is finally here and with it we're bringing you another edition of Tech Trends. There's a lot happening in the event technology world this month so let's get right to it!

Earlier this month saw the annual return of the biggest AV show of the year, InfoComm. At the show you can see where the industry stands and a look to the future with product and concept demos. RavePubs has an incredible (and EXTENSIVE - seriously well done guys!) recap over here. We attended InfoComm and our own Dave Stamm even spoke on stage!

The 2018 World Cup began this month as well and the global spectacle was viewed in a drastically different way than in years past - in virtual reality! Oculus Venues allowed users to watch four of this year's matches virtually along with thousands of others. RoadToVR covers it here.

The world of eSports may still seem strange to some, but the continued growth of the world of competitive video gaming cannot be ignored and brands have noticed. Marketing Week has a great dive into it here - mentioning that brands such as Mercedes-Benz and Gillette are already involved. As an AV production company, it's hard not to view these eSport events as anything less than an audiovisual extravaganza!

That will do it for Tech Trends #13! As always give us a follow on Twitter to stay up to date on the latest stories and trends!
