Project: The Turner Experience

Turner Networks is one of the flagship booths of the annual NCTA convention. To show off their multiple networks, Turner needed a show that would distinguish yet link all of their networks. Through use of two massive pieces, Turner could promote both brand unity and diversity.

Flying above the booth was a 360º projection ring, or “hat”, featuring animated networks logos and colors. The ring is accomplished through use of six screen-shaped projectors.

As part of the main structure, the curler features the main messaging of the Turner Experience as well as the unifying Turner logo. This has been accomplished in two ways over the years. first was through use of five, blended projectors, screen shaped to the curve. Second was through the use of 32 seamless plasmas.

To create such a large show, synced together across multiple areas, Stamm Media programmed the media in Watchout® to run as one unified program across the curler, hat, and plasmas. In cooperation with Fine Design, this show was then coordinated with lighting effects as well. The result was a diverse, yet unified presentation of Turner’s brand identity.
